To update our knowledge on this fungus, the holomorph morphology of the Korean powdery mildew on Weigela was described by integrating detailed morphological characterization and molecular phylogenetic studies. The newly generated sequences of the internal transcribed spacer regions and large subunit gene of rDNA have been submitted to GenBank.
